“The House with Laughing Windows”: Where does its “cursed” aura come from? On this note, Roberto Leggio and Gabriele Grotto set off in search of the places where the film was shot, trying to find answers. Is Buono Legnani, the mad painter, an invented character or did he really exist, and hovers over the mystery of those places? What brings avid fans to travel between the Ferrara hinterland and the Po delta, where the film was shot? And why are there still places that evoke terrors and mysteries? By fusing reality and fantasy, the two directors strengthened the myth of that film, making assumptions and playing with the magic of cinema.
“La Casa dalle finestre che ridono”: Da dove nasce la sua aura “maledetta”? Su questo inciso, Roberto Leggio e Gabriele Grotto, sono partiti alla ricerca dei luoghi dove il film è stato girato, cercando di trovare risposte. Buono Legnani, il pittore pazzo, è un personaggio inventato oppure è davvero esistito, ed aleggia sul mistero di quei luoghi? Cosa porta fans accaniti a recarsi tra l’entroterra ferrarese ed il delta del Po, dove il film è stato girato? E perché ancora adesso ci sono posti che evocano terrori e misteri? Fondendo realtà e fantasia, i due registi hanno rafforzato il mito di quel film, facendo supposizioni e giocando con la magia del cinema.
